Vrishab Sathish Kumar

Vrishab is an MSTP student motivated by the intersection of computer science, genomics, and immunology to better understand brain tumors and develop novel therapies for patients. His research interests sparked after his family’s experience caring for a loved one with a brain tumor, and took shape following his undergraduate training in computer science at the University of Washington, bioinformatics research at a drug discovery startup in New York City, and his role as a computational biologist at the Miller Lab before starting medical school. In his free time, Vrishab enjoys coming up with riffs on his electric bass, watching science fiction, playing tennis, and bouldering!
