Adam Brinkman
Postdoctoral Fellow
Adam is a postdoc fellow with an interest in tumor immunology, specifically in myeloid cell reprogramming. He earned his Bachelor’s degree from The Ohio State University where he studied molecular genetics and biochemistry. He then moved to Buffalo, NY to study tumor immunology at the Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center through the University at Buffalo PhD program. His project examined the dynamic interplay between canonical and alternative NF-kB signaling pathways in myeloid cells and how they impact antitumor immunity in the tumor microenvironment. Adam joins the Miller Lab to develop novel CAR T cell strategies that eliminate suppressive scavenger myeloid cells in the glioblastoma microenvironment while also providing key signals to promote additional immunotherapeutic responses.
Outside of the lab, Adam enjoys swimming, outdoor activities, board games, and watching football.
